SkyMall® Launches BlackBerry® App for Shopping On-the-Go
SkyMall partners with Digby to offer BlackBerry users a convenient, easy-to-use mobile shopping experience
PHOENIX, ARIZONA – May 4, 2010 — SkyMall, the innovative in-flight catalog company, today announced the release of SkyMall Mobile for BlackBerry. The downloadable application was developed in partnership with Digby, the leader in mobile commerce solutions for retailers, and is available at no cost from the SkyMall Mobile Site, m.skymall.com, as well as RIM's BlackBerry AppWorld store.
From the new application, SkyMall customers can easily browse and shop SkyMall's 10,000+ products through an Internet connection via their BlackBerry devices. Users can view rich product descriptions and full-color images, select addresses from local address books and place secure transactions quickly and easily. Users can also browse through the in-flight print catalog and enter a specific item number into the BlackBerry app to purchase from the device instantly.
As BlackBerry continues to hold the leadership position in the U.S. smartphone market (currently 49.2 percent)1, SkyMall recognizes the importance of meeting the needs of its users, especially considering that business travelers (often BlackBerry users) comprise a significant portion of SkyMall's customer base.
